# table.get_view_settings

Read the saved table layout for a board

GET /boards/{boardId}/table/view-settings — answers 200

MCP tool: table_get_view_settings

Scope: boards:read. Kind: read. Acts on: personal.

Answers which columns are hidden, the order they appear in, how wide they are, and the column the table is sorted by. The layout belongs to the credential's own account rather than to the board, so a board that has never been laid out answers with the defaults instead of 404. This is presentation only — it changes nothing about which applications `table.list_rows` returns. Save a layout with `table.save_view_settings`.

Path and query parameters: boardId

Example — A board laid out with the notes column hidden
